Description:

Your journey through Cusco’s rich history begins with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece that showcases stunning colonial art and religious relics. Built on top of an Inca palace, the cathedral reflects the fusion of Spanish and Andean cultures.

Next, we head to the Santo Domingo Convent, which was constructed over the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha), the most important Inca temple dedicated to Inti, the Sun God. Here, you will witness the incredible stonework that once gleamed with gold before the Spanish conquest.

Leaving the city center, we venture into the impressive Inca sites surrounding Cusco. Our first stop is Saqsaywaman, a vast archaeological complex known for its massive stone walls, some weighing over 100 tons. This site was a ceremonial and military stronghold, offering panoramic views of the city.

We then continue to Qenqo, a fascinating site with carved stone passages and an ancient ceremonial altar, believed to have been used for religious rituals.

Our journey proceeds to Puka Pukara, a red-colored fortress that once served as a military outpost and resting place for Inca travelers.

The final stop is Tambomachay, a site dedicated to water worship, featuring aqueducts and fountains that still function today. This place highlights the Inca’s advanced engineering skills and deep connection with nature.

After this enriching experience, we return to Cusco, concluding a journey through the city’s most historical and spiritual landmarks.
