Humantay Lake Trek
The full-day tour to Laguna Humantay starts early with pick-up in Cusco and an Andean breakfast. A 2-hour hike leads to the lagoon, surrounded by snowy mountains and Andean vegetation. Upon arrival, the turquoise beauty of the lagoon is admired and a lunch with views is enjoyed. Finally, the descent begins to return to Cusco. |

Visit to Machu Picchu
You will get to know in depth the sanctuary of Machu Picchu which is located at 2,430 meters above sea level, in the middle of a tropical forest of mountains, in an extraordinarily beautiful setting. It was probably the most striking urban creation of the Inca Empire in its heyday; its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem to have been naturally cut into the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting, on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna. Embedded in a spectacular landscape at the meeting point between the Peruvian Andes and the Amazon basin, the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary is one of the greatest artistic, architectural and land use achievements anywhere and the most significant tangible legacy of the Inca civilization. |
